Does your family want to eat dinner EVERY day? Mine too!
It can be difficult to balance everything that comes at us in a day – managing the home, meal planning, raising kids, homeschooling, soccer practice, 4-H meetings, church, gardening, raising livestock, creating a budget . . . Whoa! It can quickly become overwhelming and we feel like we are drowning in a never-ending task list that we could never complete.
Friend, I have been there. In fact, I AM there, walking this road with you each and every day. I can’t claim to have this all figured out, but I can definitely relate to what a wife and mother faces on a daily basis.
TheRuralHomeschoolMom.com is here to provide you with resources to make your day a bit more manageable and to encourage you that not only can you do this, but that you are not doing it alone!
- Are you new to homeschooling and not sure where to start? I can help point you in the right direction.
- Do you have a struggling learner? Me too! I can share what I’ve learned along the way to help you and your child.
- Have you hit a homeschool rut? Sister, I’ve been there! I’ll share some tips on how to overcome those seasons.
- Is your calendar so full you can’t see what day it is? I have tips to help you tame that schedule.
- Perhaps you are like me, running a small homestead. I have stories to share and resources we’ve discovered to help us in that journey.
First and foremost, I am a sinner washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. I may not have it all together, but I know the One who does. He has wiped my tears in my lowest lows, and filled my heart with the greatest love. Following Him is a true joy, and I can’t wait to share with you ways that we can grow closer to Him in our daily lives so we can be a blessing to our husbands, our children, and those around us.
It is so nice to “meet” you! I am Chantel Poisel. I married my high school sweetheart, Jim, almost 19 years ago. He is a gifted engineer who can fix, repair or build just about anything. He loves me, flaws and all, and is an amazing father to our children. We homeschool four children – Samantha, 17; Alyssa, 14; Caleb, 11; and Jacob, 7. We live on a small hobby farm in Northern Indiana where we raise poultry, rabbits, dairy goats, hogs and dairy steers.
I’ve always had a passion for writing and ministering to others who have faced similar struggles. I’ve run my own transcription company and worked as a virtual assistant for national nonprofit organizations. Those careers helped grow my desire to write more and form a community with other Christian homeschool moms.
My prayer is that each time you visit TheRuralHomeschoolMom.com you will find what you are looking for, always leave feeling encouraged, and that you will come back often!
